Black Peak

Nestled between La Massana and Ordino lies the village of Black Peak, eight Scandinavian-style homes that blend seamlessly into the landscape. Living in Black Peak village will help you feel in harmony with nature, and of a sense of being an integral steward of the land like our ancestors.
The Black Peak houses are built maintaining the color of the black clay typical of the environment and make its tonality clearly visible on the facades and roofs. The charred wood following the traditional Japanese yakisugi technique that makes it more durable and resistant, the slate slab that covers the houses following the Andorran tradition and the stone of the walls that support the earth, provide the characteristic black color that distinguishes Black Peak.
Just like any close-knit community, the houses of Black Peak foster a sense of neighbourly interaction, whilst at the same time being totally independent. Living in connection with the environment and nature is similar to how our ancestors lived, but at the same time embracing sustainability whilst benefiting from all modern comforts.
